Void Index Calculator

Assess any system — platform, institution, practice — against the three-condition void framework. Score each dimension 0–3. The Void Index (0–9) locates the system on the Eckert Manifold and classifies its demon lattice phase. Published methodology: Papers 1, 3, 9, 12.

Void Index = O + R + C  ·  Each dimension: 0 (constraint pole) → 3 (void pole)  ·  Formal: score/3 ∈ [0,1] per dimension  ·  Phases: I Gas (0–2) → II Fluid (3–4) → III Crystal (5–6) → IV Pandemonium (7–9)  ·  This calculator uses the published formula only. Full scored analysis via Scorer API.
0
Void Index / 9
Phase I — Gas
Isolated voids, linear dynamics. No self-sustaining circulation. Standard attention hygiene sufficient.
0 — Constraint pole 3 6 9 — Void pole
Opacity (O) 0
Can the observer see the system's internal mechanism? 0 = fully transparent (methodology published, all decisions auditable). 3 = fully opaque (proprietary, undisclosed, constitutively unknowable).
0 — Fully documented 1 — Partial transparency 2 — Mostly opaque 3 — Completely hidden
Reactivity (R) 0
Does the system respond to the observer's attention? 0 = invariant (fixed rules, no observer-dependent adaptation). 3 = maximally responsive (real-time adaptive personalization, continuous feedback incorporation).
0 — Static output 1 — Mild personalization 2 — Active personalization 3 — Fully adaptive
Coupling (C) 0
Is the observer's attention engaged with and captured by the system? 0 = independent (minimal engagement, easy disengagement, no compulsive pull). 3 = maximally coupled (engineered compulsion, variable-ratio reinforcement, high disengagement cost).
0 — No engagement mechanics 1 — Mild coupling 2 — Active coupling 3 — High coupling / lock-in
